A winter storm warning remains in effect for central Indiana through Saturday at midnight. By late Thursday night, there was already a couple of inches of snow on the ground. Here are a few totals…

The snow will continue to fall and there will be 2-4 inches on the ground by sunrise Friday. A few higher totals are possible south. Be prepared for snow covered and slick roads overnight and on Friday. There are already school closings and delays. You can see the complete list here at wthr.com. Snow totals by Friday evening will be 6-9 inches + south of Indianapolis. Around Indianapolis, we are expecting 4-7 inches of snow. The lowest totals will be from Lafayette to Kokomo, where we are expecting 1-3 inches.
We will turn attention from snow to arctic air next week, as we forecast lows in the single digits and highs in the teens.
