Some of the latest information on Future Trak 13 indicates a couple of spotty showers mixing with sleet or a few flurries overnight. We are watching a line of rain and snow across parts of Iowa now. The timing is tricky, but right now it looks like most of the area will make it through the morning commute dry, with the best chance for a few snow showers from 9am to 1pm. Be sure to check with Chuck Lofton on Sunrise starting at 4:30 for updates on the snow chances and for the latest on Live Doppler 13 Radar. This will not be a big snow event, but where the bursts of snow develop, it will be enough to cover the grass, our your roof top or your car.
Temperatures will be near freeezing to start the day and highs are only forecast in the lower 40s on Thursday afternoon. Skies will clear Thursday night and Friday morning. This will set us up for a cold night. In fact, a freeze warning is in effect for much of central Indiana early Friday morning. Temperatures will be near record low levels and in the 20s. The forecast low is 26 degrees and the record is 25 in 1887.
50s are back for the weekend and we are tracking rain and not snow for the middle part of next week.
