The leading edge of a developing storm system is bringing rain into southwestern Indiana now. Our rain chances will increase overnight. In addition to rain, low clouds and fog will be issues overnight and Wednesday. Temperatures will be nearly steady or rise slowly overnight into the middle 50s. Temperatures will eventually reach the lower 60s late Wednesday. Expect off and on showers on Wednesday, so keep the umbrellas handy.
The strongest part of this developing storm system will arrive on Halloween. We are expecting heavy rain, with 1-2 inches possible. In addition to the heavy rain, severe winds are also possible. Winds will be sustained 30mph+ at times and wind gusts will be even stronger. We will keep you updated on this still developing storm system for Halloween.
There will be a break from the rain on Friday, but a few showers mixing with sleet are possible on Saturday. The drier day this weekend will be Sunday with sunshine and highs in the 50s.
