Since the inaugural race, the Brickyard 400 has become NASCAR’s most–attended event. It also has become NASCAR’s second-highest paying race, behind the Daytona 500. Usually, when we think of Brickyard weather, we think of hot, humid conditions in the sweltering July heat. In fact on this day last year, it was 103 degrees! Things are much different this year, with highs mainly in the upper 70s and low 80s into next week. We do have a chance for rain or thunderstorms late Friday and an isolated shower Sunday. It should be dry for the Brickyard 400.
By the way, our live coverage of the pre race activities begins bright and early at 5 pm Sunday. Check us out before you head out to church, or the Speedway.
