Winter Weather Advisory

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the majority of Central Indiana until 1am Monday.

INCLUDING THE CITIES OF…LAFAYETTE…FRANKFORT…KOKOMO…
CRAWFORDSVILLE…ANDERSON…MUNCIE…INDIANAPOLIS…TERRE HAUTE

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN INDIANAPOLIS HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR ACCUMULATING SNOW…WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM
NOON TODAY TO 1 AM EST MONDAY.

* MAIN IMPACT: ROADS MAY BECOME SLIPPERY DUE TO SNOW. TRAVEL MAY
  BECOME DIFFICULT.

* ACCUMULATIONS: TWO TO THREE INCHES OF SNOW.

* TIMING: BEGINNING AROUND NOON AND LINGERING INTO THE EARLY
  EVENING HOURS TONIGHT.

* OTHER IMPACTS: INCREASING WINDS THIS EVENING MAY RESULT IN SOME
  BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF SNOW…ESPECIALLY IN RURAL AREAS.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW
WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW
COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES…AND USE CAUTION WHILE
DRIVING.
