Weekend Snow Chances

By · December 26, 2009 at 12:16 pm

Highs today will only reach the low to mid 30s with scattered snow showers.  Light accumulations are possible in the metro, with the greatest chance for accumulating snow in our Northwest viewing area.  A light dusting to 1/2″ is possible elsewhere, but more than likely you’ll probably just see light snow showers.

Tonight a chance for snow sticks around with temps dropping into the mid 20s.  Late tonight early tomorrow morning accumulating snow is possible.  We’re watching for light snow, so totals won’t be very impressive, but we could see slick spots on roadways.  Use extra care with holiday travels returning home.

Sunday, light snow is one again possible, and it looks like by the afternoon 1″ – 2″ of snow is possible.  The accumulating snow should taper off by early evening.  Highs will only reach the upper 20s to around 30 degrees.
