Weekend Rain Chances

By · July 14, 2012 at 5:15 am

It’s not the widespread soaking rain that we need, but we do have chances of rain in the forecast this weekend.

Highs will top out around 90 degrees today with a 30% chance of scattered showers and storms.  The day won’t be a washout, but would we really complain if it was?  Expect partly cloudy skies and isolated storms as we head into the afternoon.

Tonight, isolated storms may stick around as temps drop to the low 70s.

Tomorrow the low 90s are back, along with a 30% chance for showers and storms.  Through the weekend spots will be lucky to get .25″ of rain, and isolated areas with thunderstorms could pick up more.  Not everyone will see rain.

Monday and Tuesday sunshine and highs in the mid 90s return.

As of Friday, Indianapolis has seen 17 days in a row of 90+ temps.

Wednesday, we have another shot at showers and thunderstorms.

Temps remain around the 90 degree mark as we head into next weekend.
