Wednesday’s Forecast & Christmas Eve Storm

By · December 22, 2010 at 5:41 am

Temperatures today will hold steady in Central Indiana around 30 degrees.  Patchy drizzle, flurries, and fog will be possible.  Slick spots are still possible out on the roadways, so use extra care!

Overnight, clouds break and that means temps fall.  Overnight lows will drop to around 20 degrees.

Thursday, a mix of sun and clouds comes our way with highs in the low 30s.

Now for that big Christmas Eve storm.  What’s going on with it?  The latest computer models are taking it south of Indiana.  It’s a southern track that rules out heavy snow across our state.  I think it’s still possible that we could see an inch of snow in Central Indiana, with up to 3 inches of snow possible in the southern portion of the state.  We’ll continue to watch the storm develop.  The snowfall projected would be from Christmas Eve through Christmas Day.

Lake effect snow showers could bring us a little more snow on Sunday with much colder air coming our way next week.
