What a difference a day makes. From muggy air with showers and storms, to sunshine and lower humidity for some. Make no mistake… it’s still warm, but areas along and especially north of I-70 have seen a pleasant drop to dew points in the 50s.
It’s still rather humid in the southern viewing area where dew points remain uncomfortable in the 60s. Drier air should continue to filter into the region on an easterly wind.
This is a result of the passage a cool front last night and it comes at an opportune time, and sets the stage for a nice stretch of weather for much of the weekend. Expect comfortable lows in the 55 to 60 range for most. Saturday will be full of sunshine and warm highs in the low to mid 80s.
The aforementioned front creeps back into the picture late Sunday, and provides a slight rain chance for the southwestern half of the viewing area by 7pm Sunday. But much of Sunday will be mostly sunny, warm and dry.
We’re still anticipating a rather unsettled pattern next week that will feature a daily chance of rain and potentially heavy storms. We’ll have to fine tune timing and amounts as we get closer. For now enjoy what’s out your window and have a great evening – Sean Ash
