The heat and humidity cranks up today as the wind pick up out of the southeast. Temperatures will soar into the mid 80s. With the high humidity and heat, isolated thunderstorms will develop. A few heavy downpours will be possible.
Storms will taper off around 9pm, sunset, and the clouds will stick around overnight. It will be a warm and muggy morning with temperatures only falling into the upper 60s.
Saturday will be hot and hazy with scattered thunderstorms developing by late afternoon into the evening. Afternoon highs will be in the mid 80s.
There is a better chance of thunderstorms Sunday afternoon and evening.
With the moist air mass in place, heavy rain will be possible over the weekend, with some areas picking up an inch or two.
We are tracking hot temperatures on Monday with a high near 90 degrees. A cold front arrives late Monday night, bringing another round of thunderstorms to Central Indiana.
Storm chances continue on Tuesday.
Cooler and drier air arrives on Wednesday continuing through the end of the work week.
