As advertised… the snow is here… and slick spots will be likely on the roads.
Along and north of I-70 up to 2″ of snow is possible, while south of I-70 up to 1″ of snow is possible. Most of the snow will accumulate on grassy areas, but as temps are hovering near freezing, slick spots on roadways are possible.
Highs today are expected to hold steady in the low to mid 30s, but this afternoon the wind will really picks up, and gusts up to 25mph out of the Northwest. The snow showers will become more spotty and taper off by the afternoon.
Overnight, the clouds break and temps drop to the low 20s. It will feel much colder however, because wind gusts out of the northwest up to 30mph are likely.
Wednesday, the sunshine is back as temps hit the low to mid 30s.
Our next chance for rain moves in Friday, with another shot New Year’s Day… eventually turning to snow by next Monday.
