Summer begins today, and hot and humid weather is in the forecast. Highs will hit the upper 80s close to 90 with thunderstorms developing any time after noon. The entire state us under a slight risk for severe storms. Damaging wind and more flooding concerns are the primary threats we are watching today. Small hail is also possible. The ground is already saturated from yesterday’s storms, so add any more heavy rain to that, and localized flooding remains something to watch out for.
Overnight, storms stick around as temps drop to the upper 60s. Again, strong to severe storms are possible.
A cold front moves through the state Wednesday, bringing more chances of strong to severe storms. Highs drop to the low 80s.
We may see a few morning showers on Thursday, but that’s when we start to dry out and cool down. Temps in the 70s… bring it!
