The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Moderate Risk of Severe Weather for all of Indiana on Sunday. A Moderate Risk means that there is a better chance of severe thunderstorms to develop. A Moderate Risk is only issued for Central Indiana a few times during the year. So, this is something that should be taken seriously. Be weather aware Sunday. It looks like the first round of strong or severe storms could arrive late morning into early afternoon. Another round of severe thunderstorms will be possible during the afternoon, especially late afternoon into the early evening. A strong cold front will arrive during the afternoon. Damaging winds in excess of 70 mph or more will be possible, as well as isolated tornadoes.
A Wind Advisory is also in effect on Sunday from 12noon to 9pm for the entire viewing area. Sustained winds of 30 mph with gusts around 45 mph will be possible.
A dry and quiet pattern settles in for part of the work week. It will be much cooler too, with temperatures struggling to climb into the upper 40s.
