Strong to Severe Storms Possible Sunday

The heat and humidity continue across Central Indiana today, but as early as Tuesday, relief is on the way!

Highs today will hit the upper 80s with developing showers and storms.  Some storms could be strong to severe this afternoon into tonight.  The biggest threats will be damaging wind, and hail.  However, we can’t rule out the possibility of an isolated tornado.  Heavy rain will be likely from thunderstorms, so a Flash Flood Watch is in effect though Monday morning for all of the viewing area.  Up to 2″ of rain will be possible from these storms by Monday morning.  Some isolated areas may see more.

Overnight as a cold front pushes through the state storms are likely, again containing heavy rain and the possibility of strong to severe storms.

Monday morning the storms exit, and we bring in clearing for the afternoon with highs in the mid 80s.

Tuesday starts our cool down with highs around 80.  That looks to stick around through Friday with plenty of sunshine.  Enjoy!
