Strong to Severe Storms FridayBy
Once again patchy fog will be on the road for your morning commute, but as we head into the afternoon strong to severe storms will become the focus of the forecast.
Highs will reach the mid 80s today with scattered showers and storms developing for the afternoon.
All of Central Indiana is under a slight risk for severe storms late this afteroon, this evening and tonight. Strong wind, hail, frequent lightning and the possibility of an isolated tornado exists. Very heavy rain is likely with some spots picking up 1-2″ of rain.
Operation Football will be soggy and stormy. Lightning is a risk in any thunderstorm. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors.
Saturday will be breezy and cool. A few lingering showers may stick around in the morning, but we’ll be looking at mostly cloudy skies and afternoon highs in the low 70s. Wind gusts out of the northwest up to 25mph will make it breezy.
Sunday looks dry with a high in the low 70s.
We get a taste of fall through Tuesday, with the 80s making a comeback Wednesday.
