Be weather aware through the weekend, strong to even severe storms are in the forecast for Central Indiana.
We’re not expecting severe weather today, but scattered showers and storms will develop as we head into the afternoon. Highs will reach the mid 80s with wind gusts out of the south up to 25mph. The normal high this time of year is 77.
Friday and Saturday strong to severe storms are possible across the state.
Here’s the severe weather outlook for Friday. Damaging wind, hail, and isolated tornadoes are possible.
Frequent lightning and heavy rain will accompany the storms.
As of right now the entire state is under a slight risk for severe storms on Saturday too.
By early Sunday morning up to 2-3″ of rain is possible.
After our stormy weekend, much cooler and drier air settles in for the beginning of the week.
