It will be a sunny and breezy Friday afternoon with highs climbing into the upper 50s. Winds will be out of the southwest from 15 to 25 mph.
There is a slight chance of a few sprinkles this evening as a cold front moves through. Temperatures will fall to near normal, into the low 30s.
Saturday will be cooler than Friday although right on track for normal for this time of year. The wind will turn out of the northwest with highs in the low 50s.
Sunday brings changes with the return of winter-like conditions. Afternoon highs will only climb into the low 30s. An area of low pressure will arrive from the Southern Plains states. The latest track of the system has most of our viewing area picking up precipitation. It will arrive Sunday morning along a Bloomington – Columbus line. It will start off as freezing rain and rain. As the system pushes north, precipitation will change over to snow by afternoon. At this point, accumulations look light, from a dusting to an inch. It’s still early, so the SkyTrak13 Weather Team will continue to tweak and monitor this forecast.
It will be a chilly St. Patrick’s Day.
Temperatures bounce back to near normal by mid week.
