If you’re traveling for the holidays… get ready for weather delays here at home.
It feels like summer in Central Indiana! Highs today will reach the upper 60s to around 70 degrees with a chance for scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. It looks like most of the activity will be north of I-70. Wind gusts up to 35mph are possible today.
Tonight into Tuesday morning a strong cold front will pass across the state bringing very heavy rain and gusty winds. We could see some thunderstorms out of this system, so we’re keeping a close eye on it. Between tonight and tomorrow morning, up to an inch of rain is possible across Central Indiana.
The rain should move out early Tuesday morning, by mid-morning we’ll be looking for the clouds to break. Highs will only hit the upper 40s, and temperatures look to fall throughout the day. Tuesday night lows drop to the low 30s.
Wednesday we’ll be watching for a slight chance of rain during the day with highs hitting the upper 40s. Another soaker looks to move in Wednesday night and Thursday. A good chance of heavy rain is setting up for that time frame. Thanksgiving day looks soggy with highs in the upper 40s.
The rain moves out in time for Black Friday Shoppers, but if any moisture does linger, we could be talking flurries. Lows Friday morning will be in the 20s, and we will only warm up into the 30s!
