Soggy Labor Day possible

Indiana is now on the back side of the remnants of Hurricane Isaac. We won’t get as much rain as we did Sunday, but there could be showers on and off throughout the day Monday.

Over the past two days, Carmel (Mohawk Trail Elementary) has had 2.67 inches of rain; Indianapolis (St. Thomas Aquinas School) 2.16″, downtown (Lucas Oil Stadium) 2.09″, and Lafayette (Harrison High School) has seen 1.56″.

Gas City, Upland and Marion had the heaviest rainfall with around four inches.

One computer model is calling for another 1.33″ inches for Indianapolis through Thursday. The back side of the area of low pressure from Isaac remnants is still moving through Indiana, creating a northeasterly breeze and the chance for showers. It will not rain all day but skies will be mostly cloudy.

For the rest of the week, there’s still a chance of isolated showers Tuesday with a high of 84; a chance for showers and a high of 88 Wednesday; sunny Thursday with a high of 82 and then on Friday a cooldown with a high of 75 and a chance of isolated showers. At this point rain is likely for next Saturday, but keep an eye on the forecast for the latest.
