Refreshing air is heading toward central Indiana, but the transition from summer to fall-like temps will trigger hit and miss showers and thunder this evening.
Showers are possible around the Indiana State Fairground by 8… so heads if you’re heading to the Styx concert this evening. Not a guarantee it’s going to rain, but a chance for sure as a weakening complex continues its eastward journey along the I-70 corridor.
From Indy-southward… you probably won’t notice much change to the airmass in the morning. But notice the lower 60s in north central Indiana… a hint of less humid air to come.
By Tuesday afternoon a refreshing breeze sets up over the Ohio Valley. This paves the way for near record low temperatures Wednesday morning.
Indianapolis’ record low of 48 degrees should be safe Wednesday, but many locations away from the heat island will be in the 40s!
As advertised for several days… fall-like weather expected to blanket central Indiana Wednesday through Friday. The cool down will be brief, with typical summer warmth quickly returning next weekend. Have a great evening and thanks for reading the blog – Sean Ash
