It’s been a stormy night across Central Indiana, and more storms are expected to fire up this afternoon. Overnight many spots picked up a decent amount of rain. These totals are through 5:30am.
Today highs top out in the mid 80s with more scattered showers and storms developing. Some storms could be strong to severe this afternoon and evening.
Here’s a look from the SPC of the huge portion of the United States under the “slight” risk, that does include Central Indiana.
The SPC outlines the “biggest” threats in these graphics. Damaging wind will be our biggest threat, with areas south of I-70 possibly seeing the bulk of the wind.
Large hail is possible too.
And an isolated tornado can’t be ruled out.
Heat, humidity, and storm chances continue in the 7 day forecast.
