We have a severe thunderstorm watch for 15 counties over southern Indiana. The watch continues until 10:00 pm. We’ll have up to one inch of rain south of I-70, and the storms are bringing heavy rain and lightning to these areas.
What a difference a year makes. Last year we were in the middle of a drought and our rain deficit stood at 4.82″ below average. As we all know, things got much worse as the dryness continued throughout the summer. This year we have a 3.42″ moisture surplus.
