Highs today will hit the mid to upper 80s with more scattered showers and thunderstorms likely, especially this afternoon and tonight. Some storms may be strong to severe. The entire viewing area is under a slight risk for severe weather. Damaging wind, hail, and even an isolated tornado is possible. Very heavy rain is also likely. In thunderstorms a quick on to two inches of rain could fall.
Tonight will be warm and sticky with lows in the low 70s with scattered showers and t-storms.
The reason for all the showers and storms is a stalled out front that just won’t get out of here. It’s allowing hot and humid air from the south to invade Central Indiana.
Tuesday, a repeat of Monday, including the chance for severe weather.
Wednesday we finally start to dry out, as the stationary front gets “outta here”! We might see a few showers and storms early in the morning, but the rest of the day looks good with highs in the mid 80s.
Thursday the chance for storms returns, and sticks with us through the weekend as highs reach nearly 90 degrees.
