The potential for severe weather exists as we head into this afternoon and evening. Besides severe storms, localized flooding is possible.
All of Central Indiana is under a slight risk for severe storms. As of right now, damaging winds look to be the biggest threat. Very heavy rain could lead to localized flooding. Up to 2″ of rain is possible, while some spots could get up to 3″ of rain. Large hail and an isolated tornado can’t be ruled out. The severe threat will be diminished **IF** cloudy skies remain across the state for most of the day and limit daytime heating.
Because of the threat of heavy rain, a flash flood watch has been issued until Thursday morning.
The 7 day looks stormy, but many days just isolated showers or thunderstorms are possible. The cool down will be welcomed!
