Hop on! A temperature roller coaster is about to make multiple stops in Central Indiana!
Highs will reach the upper 40s today with patchy morning drizzle making way to partly cloudy skies this afternoon. It will be breezy with winds out of the south up to 15mph.
Tonight, we stay dry as we ring in 2012. Temps around midnight should be in the low 40s with partly cloudy skies and windy conditions.
Early Sunday morning, spotty showers are possible as temps start off in the upper 30s. By the afternoon, temps fall into the low to mid 30s as winds gust up to 40mph. A rain/snow mix may pop up in the afternoon.
Very frigid air settles into the state by Monday. The coldest air of the season hit Central Indiana as we start the first week of the new year. Highs Monday only reach the mid 20s, and with wind gusts up to 35mph, single digit wind chills are expected. Flurries will also be in the forecast Monday.
Monday night, temps drop into the low teens, and by Tuesday, highs only rebound into the low 20s.
If you don’t like the cold… check out the 7 day… we warm back up close to 50 degrees by next Friday!
