This morning we’re off to a warm and muggy start.
Temps are close to 80 as of 7 am, and will quickly rise as we go into the afternoon.
Today’s high should top out around 95 degrees, if not warmer. It will feel well over 100 degrees this afternoon because of the humidity. Today will be the 13th day that we’ve hit 90+ this year.
The record for today is 95 from 1983. The normal high this time of year is 80.
The low 90s are in the forecast tomorrow. Wednesday’s record high is 95 from 1897. There’s a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms late Wednesday into Thursday. It’s not the soaking rain we need, but we’ll take what we can get.
The heat doesn’t stick around much longer. By Saturday morning we’ll be waking up with temps in the upper 40s!
