Rain/Snow Mix Develops this Afternoon

By · March 14, 2013 at 4:56 am

Highs will only reach the upper 30s today, with a rain/snow mix developing as we head into the late afternoon and evening.

Clouds will be on the increase today and for the evening commute a rain/snow mix is possible.  Some light accumulations are possible, but with temps above freezing in the upper 30s, snow could have a hard time sticking.  Our normal high or this time of year is 51, and last year on today’s day Indy hit 81!

Tonight any lingering snow showers will come to an end and temps fall into the upper 20s as skies clear.

Friday will be warmer, but as the temp increases there’s also a chance for spotty showers late in the afternoon.  Highs will warm into the low 50s, with scattered showers trying to work into Central Indiana.

Rain remains likely off and on during the day Saturday, and by Sunday a rain/snow mix is possible, especially across south central Indiana.

We’re watching Sunday night into Monday and Tuesday very closely.  A lot of moisture is heading our way, and with temps around freezing overnight, we could possibly pick up some snow.  As of right now a rain/snow mix looks likely, but stay posted for any and all changes as we begin to track the mix heading our way.
