Today we’ll see an increase of cloud cover across Central Indiana. Highs today will hit the mid 30s. The later we head into the afternoon, the more cloudy it will get. We also have a chance for light rain or light freezing rain this afternoon into this evening.
Temperatures will stay steady, or warm as we head into the overnight, so the freezing rain threat will end, and we’ll just be tracking scattered showers.
Thursday, patchy fog is likely along with temps in the mid 40s. Scattered showers will be on the radar throughout the day.
The warm up we’ve been talking about all week settles in for one day, and one day only! Friday highs look to hit the low to mid 50s! That will come with rain, so it’s not like we’ll be basking in sunshine. If you have plans for New Years Eve, they will be soggy, the rain looks to stick around through Saturday when temps plummet back into the 30s!
Up to an inch of rain is possible through Saturday… some areas may pick up more, so flooding will be a concern with the snow melt. We’ll keep you posted!
A strong cold front will move through late Friday into early Saturday, that means gusty winds are likely, and we may even hear a few rumbles of thunder. Behind the cold front is much chillier air… hence the big temp drop from Friday to Saturday.
