Sunshine and temps in the 90s… our heat wave rolls on, and we’re looking forward to a dry Brickyard 400!
Highs today will reach the low 90s with mostly sunny skies. Today will be the 15th consecutive day Indianapolis hits at least the 90 degree mark. It will feel more like the mid to upper 90s with the humidity. With no rain in the forecast today, we’re ending July on a dry note, we’re also going down in history. July 2011 is the driest on record with only .47″ or rain recorded at the Indianapolis International Airport. The previous record was .49″ in 1914.
Overnight, patchy fog may develop with mostly clear skies and light winds with temps around 70.
Monday, the heat rolls on. Temps will reach the low 90s, and the same is expected for Tuesday with more humidity moving in, it will feel like 100 degrees.
Our next shot at rain moves in Wednesday, then another round is possible Friday and Saturday.
