No Rain Anytime Soon

Our dry weather could turn dangerous this afternoon due to lowering humidity and breezy winds. The combination will make for increased wildfire danger through the day.

This month, we’ve only had 0.05″ of rain officially for Indy…and for the year so far, we’re running nearly 4″ below average! We desperately need rain, but with high pressure in charge for the foreseeable future, it doesn’t look likely. I have added a chance of an isolated shower or storm, but not until Monday.

After highs in the low 80s, we’ll have a pleasant evening ahead for the Indians game with a first pitch forecast of 78 degrees. The big difference: it will be much less humid than recent days.

We’ll keep that cooler/drier/less humid feel through midweek, but by the end of the week, a warm front ushers in hot and humid air for Father’s Day weekend when we could see 90s return!

Finally, our WTHR-TV Hoosier Pic at noon thanks to photographer David Lawrence who posted this gorgeous duck photo on our facebook page. He took it Saturday at Lilly Pond. If you’d like to share a pic, just post it on WTHR’s Facebook page:

Keep on watering,
