Near Record Warmth Monday

Some of the warmest air of the season, and since early September, is likely Monday.  After some patchy morning fog and low clouds, temperatures will soar in response to a good deal of hazy sun.


The record in Indianapolis Monday is 90 degrees, and should be safe.  But high humidity will make it feel like 90°+ tomorrow and Tuesday.  highstomorrow

80% of the viewing area will be dry Monday.  But it’s possible some weakening showers may approach western Indiana before noon tomorrow.  Stronger storms may develop Monday evening/night…possibly impacting the northwestern corner of the state (including Lafayette, Kokomo).  DOPPLER

Better storm chances arrive Tuesday and Wednesday, with large hail/damaging wind possible.  Pleasantly cool air sinks southward late week… setting us up for a spring-like conditions Friday/Saturday.  Long-range model guidance is shows the possibility of showers or storms for Race Day next Sunday.  For now it’s just a chance… much can, and will change in the forecast the next 7 days.  Check back for updates.7day
