Near Record Heat Wednesday

By · June 23, 2010 at 9:21 am

Hot, humid, stormy.  Our weather forecast is just more of the same!

Highs today will hit the mid 90s.  Specifically, I’m forecasting a high of 94.  The record for today is 96 degrees.  It will feel much warmer thanks to the humidity.  A few pop up storms are possible this afternoon, but it’s later tonight that more severe weather could move in.  Click here to see the latest severe weather risk areas.  Isolated tornadoes are possible, but damaging winds are more likely from storms that push through tonight as a cold front slams through the state.

The good news about the front moving through?  We “cool” off a bit Thursday.  Highs will hit the mid to upper 80s with less humidity!  A few lingering showers or storms are possible in the morning, but then we dry out.

Sunshine and less humidity sticks around through Saturday with highs in the upper 80s to around 90.

More storms could be on the way for Sunday.
