Get ready for a warm and windy day!
Highs will hit 80 today with partly cloudy skies, and wind gusts out of the south up to 40mph. The day time hours will be dry, so our plants and grass will be able to enjoy the sun after a little more than an inch of rain fell in Indianapolis Saturday.
Tonight showers and storms will move through the state. They look to push through after midnight. Widespread severe storms are not expected, but an isoalted severe storm is possible with strong winds and hail. The rain and thunderstorms will be with us through the morning rush hour.
After the rain clears by midday, cooler and drier air moves in. Temps will top out in the low 60s with wind gusts out of the southwest up to 40mph.
Wednesday will be dry as temps start to warm to the upper 60s.
Our next chance for rain moves in Thursday, with showers and storms likely by Friday.
Temps cool into the 50s by next weekend, and as of right now, light rain looks possible on Saturday.
