Multiple Snow Chances in the Forecast

By · February 2, 2013 at 7:07 am

Light snow is likely across Central Indiana today.  Generally 1-2″ of snow will fall, with isolated spots picking up, up to 3″ of snow.

Here are snowfall totals through 7am:

For the most part, the snow will end by early afternoon.  However, temps will remain below freezing all day, so slick spots will be likely.

Tonight temps fall into the teens with a chance for isolated snow showers that could lead to a dusting.

Sunday highs hit the mid 20s, but with wind gusts out of the west up to 20mph, single digit wind chills are likely.  Again, a dusting of snow is possible during the day.

The 7 day forecast is very active.  We are watching Monday and Tuesday very closely as more light snow is possible, then at the end of the week rain or snow is possible depending on the timing.

How about featuring a person who is living on the streets of Indy on the weather forecast? Like has been done in Romania. What is it like to be living in a tent when there is snow in the forecast on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday?
