Much-Needed Rain on the Way
ByAfter a gorgeous weekend, the work week will bring a chance of showers and storms. We could get around 1/4″ of rain through Monday night.
There’s also a slight risk of severe storms in Southern Indiana. As a low pressure system tracks through the state, there may be enough spin in the atmosphere for isolated tornadoes there.
Tonight, most of the rain will evaporate before reaching the ground, but some sprinkles are possible. Our rain chances nudge up tomorrow morning with some showers possible. Then we have a good chance at showers and storms by late afternoon/evening.
After the rain on Monday, we’ll watch clouds gradually decrease on Tuesday with dry weather until late Thursday when a cold front approaches. Ahead of and along it, we may see strong to severe storms develop. The rain tapers Friday morning and gives way to a markedly cooler batch of air (even cooler than what we saw late last week) by next weekend.
Finally, our Hoosier Pic Sunday courtesy of Taylor Spear who snapped this great shot at Lucas Oil Stadium before the Colts pre-season game. Submit your pic here: https://www.facebook.com/ChikageWindlerFanPage?ref=hl or here: https://www.facebook.com/WTHR13
Have a great week!
