More Snow Showers and Near Record Cold

By · October 23, 2013 at 4:32 pm

The SkyTrak 13 Weather Team is tracking another weak weather system for Thursday morning.  There will be a few snow showers developing between 6am and 8am Thursday.  Snow showers will linger through late morning.  At times those snow showers may mix with a little light rain.  Accumulations will be minor and similar to what we had this morning.  This means a dusting on the grass, on the roof or your car.  Not everyone will see that snow, but everyone will feel the chill.  Highs on Thursday, with clouds only reach the lower 40s.

It only gets colder, as near record cold is in the forecast for Friday morning.  The record is 25 in 1887 and we have 26 degrees in the forecast.  A freeze warning is in effect for early Friday too.  Friday afternoon will still be chilly, with highs in the 40s.  Temperatures do rebound for the weekend, with highs in the 50s Saturday and Sunday.
