More Snow Coming Tonight

By · December 15, 2010 at 5:44 am

Saying to bundle up is an understatement!  Temps this morning are downright cold in the single digits.  Today we warm up into the low 20s, but clouds increase the later we head into the afternoon.  A few flurries are possible late this afternoon into the evening commute.

Tonight, accumulating snow is likely.  It looks like we will see snow move in after 8pm, and stick around through the Thursday morning rush hour.  At this point, it looks like 2-5″ of snow is possible for most of the area.  Totals will diminish the further north you head from Hamilton County north.  Ice is possible in our southern counties if ice does indeed form… these snowfall totals for our southern counties will be cut in half.  Click here to see a total accumulation map.  Weather advisories and warnings are in effect for most of Central Indiana from 7pm to 1pm Thursday.  Click here to see active advisories and warnings.

Thursday morning’s rush hour looks messy with snow ending by midday.

More cold air rushes in for the weekend.
