March Snow?

By · March 3, 2013 at 6:20 am

Temps will remain below normal today, but a big part of the forecast will be trying to iron out the details of accumulating snow through Wednesday.

Highs will only reach the low 3os today.  Our normal high this time of year is 46.  We will be well below that today with flurries possible through at least midday, especially in east central Indiana.

Monday, a light rain/snow mix will develop for the late afternoon, and is expected to transition to light snow by Monday evening possibly giving us a quick covering.  Temps will rise into Tuesday morning and a rain/snow mix will develop.

Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday morning, accumulating snow is possible.  The exact track of this system is not nailed down yet.  However, a very EARLY estimate of snow for the Indy metro is 2-4″ of snow late Tuesday into Wednesday.  Higher totals will be found in north central Indiana.  Keep in mind, THIS WILL more than likely change as the system develops and we get a better handle on it.  So, keep checking back to the blog, and on-air for the latest on what to expect.
