Locally Heavy Storms Farther South Today

By · May 29, 2014 at 1:34 pm

Another day of locally heavy, slow moving showers and thunderstorms.  While no severe weather is anticipated… torrential downpours and lightning can be expected with any cells that develop today.

With virtually little movement, street flooding is also a possibility with tropical-like rain rates of 1-2″ per hour.  It appears the greatest concentration of storms today will be along, and especially south of the I-70 corridor.  Activity diminishes after sunset and a quiet night can be expected after 10pm.

A drier northeast wind will push in less humid conditions for Friday and into the weekend.  The only fly-in-the-ointment may be some areas of fog early Friday morning.  Otherwise abundant sun should fill the sky.

LOWS

Morning lows will range from the mid-50s up north to mid-60s down south.  Highs Friday will be comfortable in the 80 to 85 range.
