Light snow moves into Central Indiana today, and while we won’t see major snow accumulations, it will be enough to cause slick spots!
Snow showers will move in mid morning into the afternoon. Up to 1″ of snow is likely in the Indy metro area, north of that 1-2″ of snow is possible, with a few heavier pockets possible. South of Indy, less than an inch of snow is expected. The drive home could be slick with temps below freezing and highs around 30.
Tonight, the cloud break and temps drop… fast! Overnight in the metro we can expect temps around 12 degrees. Outside the city, some spots will drop into the single digits.
Friday, highs will hit the low 30s and a rain/sleet/freezing rain mix will develop Friday night into Saturday morning. We could see light snow too. We are watching this system very closely… Saturday morning could be very slick.
Our warm up begins Saturday… with a return to the mid 40s by Sunday.
More rain moves in next week, and we’re setting up for a very active pattern!
