snowtotalforecastA Winter Storm Warning continues for most of central Indiana. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect south of I-70.  The heaviest snow will fall at the rate of 1 inch per hour between now and 1am.

The heavy snow tapers to snow showers after 3am. From Greencastle to Martinsville to Greensburg, 3-5” of snow will accumulate by 7am Wednesday. From Layette to Indianapolis to Shelbyville 5 -7” will accumulate overnight. From Kokomo to Muncie to Richmond 7-9” is likely.

Wednesday will be the calm after the storm. We’ll stay with snow showers in the morning, tapering to flurries in the afternoon.

Sunshine returns Thursday and Friday along with warmer highs near 40 degrees. Our warm-up continues this weekend with highs rising into the 50s.
