A warm weekend in central Indiana will likely be followed by some of the warmest air of the summer.
Despite slightly warmer than normal temperatures Sunday, humidity remains very tolerable with dewpoints below 60 degrees.
Another healthy dose of sun Sunday pushes high temps close to 90 degrees by late day.
Compared to last year, 90 degree days in Indianapolis are down significantly. In fact we’ve only had FIVE total for the year… a feat likely duplicated next week!
Underneath a strong upper level high pressure system heat builds daily… climaxing in potential record highs Wednesday.
Unfortunately this pattern will be a rather dry one for central Indiana. Not welcomed news with the over 3″ rainfall deficit since June 1st.
Above is one of the hottest 7 day forecasts I’ve put out this year… and long range models suggest unseasonably warm air may linger well into September. Stay tuned. Thanks for reading the blog and have a great evening – Sean Ash
