High wind warning, winter weather advisory in effect through Friday morning

A Winter Weather Advisory and a Wind Advisory are in effect for central Indiana. A powerful low pressure area and a trailing cold front will bring 40-50 mph winds and snow. A 1-2″ accumulation is likely Thursday night into early Friday.

  1. Good afternoon to all you weather bugs (and you’re braving it today):

I had a question concerning the storm we received here in Marion County (and pretty much everywhere else too) on December 26, 2012. I cannot remember whether or not Marion County was on a driving restriction, i.e., for rescue, police, plows, etc. Would you please let me know the driving status for that particular day? Thank you.
