Heat Wave Rolls On & Storm Chances Go Up
ByOur hot forecast rolls on… but a 40% chance of storms is also in the forecast today.
Highs will reach the mid to upper 90s across Central Indiana today. Because it’s more humid, it will feel more like 100 to 105. The later we head into the afternoon, the more likely more widespread showers and thunderstorms are. Some stroms may be strong to severe with damaging wind and large hail. All of Central Indiana is under a slight risk for severe storms today. The record high for today is 97 set back in 1970, we’ll come close to tying it!
Tonight, isolated storms are possible as temps drop to the mid 70s.
Monday highs hit the mid to upper 90s with a 30% chance for afternoon storms. Monday’s record is 99 set back in 1970.
Tuesday and Wednesday, we’ll see a 20% chance of isolated thunderstorms with temps in the mid 90s.
The 90s stick around through the rest of the forecast, with the upper 90s returning Saturday.
