Highs today will reach the low to mid 60s with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some storms may produce heavy rainfall, especially along and south of I-70 where a Flash Flood Watch is in effect through Monday. One to three inches of rain is possible today through Monday south of I-70.
Overnight, more scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible as temps drop to the low to mid 50s.
Monday, more of the same. Scattered showers and storms are possible at any time, but heavy rain will become more likely as we head into the evening and early Tuesday morning. Areas along and south of I-70 are under a slight risk for severe storms. We will be watching for damaging wind, hail, and the possibility of an isolated tornado Monday afternoon and into the night.
Tuesday, more rain, and that story continues Wednesday. By Wednesday, some areas south of I-70 could pick up, up to 7 inches of rain, so flooding will be likely, even areas that usually don’t flood.
We’ll keep you posted about severe weather chances, and flooding concerns throughout the week.
