Patchy dense fog is likely across Central Indiana this morning, with more showers and storms developing throughout the day.
In the last 24 hours Indy picked up 1.08″ of rain. Thursday night, there was a report of a tornado in Terre Haute. The National Weather Service will confirm that report later today.
Highs will top out around 70 degrees with scattered showers and storms. As of right now, severe storms are not expected.
Saturday is opening day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and a spotty afternoon shower is possible as temps reach the mid 60s with winds gusting up to 25mph out of the northwest.
Mother’s Day will be cool and dry with temps only reaching the mid to upper 50s.
Tuesday and Wednesday a big temp jump close to 80 comes our way, then we’ll start tracking more storm chances late Wednesday night into Thursday.
