Excessive Heat Warning Extended

By · July 23, 2011 at 6:33 am

The Excessive Heat Warning for Central Indiana has been extended until 8pm Sunday.

Highs today will reach the mid 90s with “feels like” temps pushing 110.  It’s another hot and humid day.  There’s a 30% chance for isolated thunderstorms this afternoon and into the early evening.  The best chance for rain will be the farther north of I-70 you go.  Any thunderstorm that pops could contain very  heavy rain and gusty winds.

Overnight, temps drop to the upper 70s, with a slight chance for an isolated shower or storm.

Sunday, we’ll see a better chance for more spots to see rain, but we’re still not looking at widespread showers and thunderstorms.  The best chance for a pop up shower or storm appears to be the afternoon and evening.

Monday, get a little relief from the heat and humidity with temps hitting the upper 80s.

As quickly as Tuesday we warm back up to 90, and the next best chance for isolated showers moves in on Friday.

Hey Nicole,
