Today is the second day in a row Indianapolis has hit at least 90 degrees, and more heat and humidity is on the way.
Wednesday highs will top out in the mid 90s. The record high is 96 from 1953. Even though the forecasted high is hot, it will feel even warmer thanks to the humidity. At times tomorrow, the heat index could top 100 degrees.
Wednesday afternoon there’s a slight chance for a shower or thunderstorm. If you’re lucky enough to see rain, a downpour is likely. Most spots look to stay mainly dry with a better chance of rain coming Saturday.
Sunday and Monday will not be a washout, but there’s a chance for an isolated shower or storm.
The 90 degree streak finally ends next Tuesday.
