Cool Night Ahead, But 70s in Sight

By · October 15, 2012 at 9:59 pm

After a windy and cool day Monday with a high of just 61, we’re heading down into the upper 30s to low 40s by morning with mainly clear skies and light winds. But warmer air is waiting in the wings and will push into Central Indiana Tuesday and Wednesday. Wednesday looks like the warmest day of the week with low to mid 70s possible.

Wednesday also brings our next chance of rain. Showers and t-storms are expected to develop during the afternoon, with the heaviest rain potential between 7 and 10 pm. Rain looks like it should be over pre-dawn Thursday morning with around 1/2″ possible.

After the rain moves out, cooler air moves back in. We’ll see low 60s on Thursday and signs point to a pocket of cold air dropping in Friday along with shower chances. Highs may only manage mid 50s by then!

For now, it looks like the weekend should be dry. It looks cool on Saturday, milder and breezy on Sunday.

And for everyone enjoying Fall in Indiana, this is your week! Check out our WTHR-TV Hoosier Pic at 11 courtesy of Gary Blinebury who took this shot Monday at Brown County State Park. Share your pic here: https://www.facebook.com/ChikageWindlerFanPage or here: https://www.facebook.com/WTHR13.
