Cold & Snowy Outlook

By · February 3, 2013 at 5:36 am

More snow chances are coming our way through the beginning of the week for Central Indiana.

We’ll start with snow today.  A dusting up to 1/2″ of snow is possible through midday.  With temps well below freezing, it will be enough to create slick spots on area roadways.

The later we head into the afternoon, the better chance of seeing a little bit of sunshine.  The sun won’t warm us up much today.  Highs only reach the mid 20s, and with wind gusts up to 30mph, the wind chill will feel like the single digits.

Tonight mostly cloudy skies are in the forecast with temps in the low teens.

Monday starts off dry, but ends with snow.  Highs will reach the low 30s, but by late afternoon into Monday night, snow develops.  At this time 1-3″ of snow looks likely, and this more than likely will impact the evening commute.

Tuesday a few snow showers are possible, especially in North Central Indiana.

If you want a warm up… it’s coming Wednesday when we could hit the mid 30s.  We haven’t been above freezing in Indianapolis since Wednesday January 30th.

The warm up brings chances of rain in the 7 day.
